Hello my name is Hank or Hanklyn. I was at a shelter in Kentucky, and my time was running out. It was only days before I was going to get euthanized but thank goodness I was rescued at the last minute! My foster mom cannot believe that I was even in that position because she says that I am so loving and sweet and the perfect family dog.
I am 45 pounds of love and a mix of beagle/shepherd mix or hound mix. I love all people, children, dogs, and cats. I am very curious, and a cuddler. If you lay on the couch, I will most likely snuggle up next to you. I am also great on a leash and if you are a runner and looking for a companion, then I am your guy!
Once I got to know my new foster family better, I have been smiling non-stop and you can tell how happy I am to not be in that scary shelter. My foster mom says I have a great temperament. When she took me to the dog park, all of the dogs started hugging me, about five of them. I just wagged my tail and waited for it to end. I also have a foster brother called Finley. Finley doesn’t get along with many other doggys but for some reason, he has accepted me which means that I must be pretty special!
I have a foster brother cat and sister cat. This is my first time ever seeing cats. Right now, I am very curious and follow them around everywhere but I’m starting to get bored of them and starting to ignore them.
I’m very thankful for a second chance at life and am looking for a forever home.
