Katie is a very sweet, curious, friendly and playful hound mix. (She's @ 45 lbs) Katie is young, @ 2 years old, and would love a home where she can be outside playing with kids, and/or another dog, romping, running, exploring, smelling. Going for walks and trips to the dog park would be a blast for Katie. She is the kind of dog that looks into your face in the morning as if to say,What are we going to do today?As long as she can expend some of her energy outside, she is good in the house, will settle down nicely. She likes toys and bones and will create piles of her stuff to play with or chew on later. Like most hounds she can be goofy, silly, comical and entertaining. She does the "Zoomies" in a yard when she is happy-and will gallop around with joy and glee. You cannot stay down around this dog, she will lift your spirits with her joy. Hounds do best with a fenced in yard because they are originally bred for the hunt, they follow their nose! They aren't trustworthy off leash, but would be fine in a fenced in dog park.
