Doris is the sweetest thing. Just will melt your heart. She is about 7 years old and spent most of her life on a chain outside. Doris deserves to finally be an inside dog with some spoiling going on. If you have a heart for seniors, or dogs who've lived life on a chain, please contact us. Doris is now getting some spoiling in her foster home. No more outside living for this girl!
From her foster: She loves to be outside, investigating smells, but she will take off if the gate is open, so she cannot be outside without a leash or fenced-in yard at any time. She really enjoys just having a comfortable dog bed or couch to take a nap on. You can truly see the relaxation and joy in her face at having a warm and soft place to lay her head. She is curious about my cat, but leaves him alone for the most part. She and my dog Riley get along just fine, but they do need to be fed away from each other, as Doris has shown some food aggression. Lastly, contrary to popular belief about hounds, this girl has not made a peep yet. Even when Riley is barking because the doorbell rings, Doris just sits there quietly. Oh! And she is very motivated by treats. She loves Greenies.
Thank you.
