Marla might be a brainiac in the dog world. She just is a very interesting dog who seems to "think"..:) Meaning she seems to be a dog that is highly perceptive to what's going on around her, she's sensitive, she adjusts to her circumstances and surroundings..she waits and watches sometimes before taking action, etc. She just seems to possess a little bit of extra intelligence or understanding.
She is beyond sweet to boot. This is a dog who will be devoted like you wouldn't believe. Who will adjust herself to you, who will always be by your side. She is just a stand out dog and we'd love to see her go to a home that would greatly suit her. She is good with other dogs, but doesn't like male dogs hovering over her or trying to dominate her. But we do think she'd do best in a home with another dog to give her confidence, as she is skittish..and another dog seems to help her relax. She has been fostered with a baby and does great with kids and is fine with cats.
She was rescued from a high kill pound by a wonderful pound advocate who noticed how scared she was..and took her home. (She had been left behind -afer having the pups she came into the pound with taken by a rescue).
Marla is a unique dog that will bring years of beauty and meaning to the fortunate individual or family that finds her. She weighs about 25 lbs.
