** Must live indoors with family*** Shakira is a young female coonhound that was probably discarded due to too many dogs, or maybe she didnt' hunt or maybe she got away from her living situation and was never looked for. Not sure but little sweet girl ended up in a pound about to be euthanized. We got her out and into a foster home, and now she is looking for her forever home! Shakira like most hounds is sweet, affectionate, silly and probably a natural comedienne that will keep you and your family charmed her whole life through. Hounds are notorious for following their nose so she will need a fenced in yard. They just aren't trustworthy "off leash" but are wonderfully fun to take to fenced in dog parks. Hounds are typically awesome family dogs, sweet with children and usually great with other dogs (and sometimes cats!) We'll try to cat test her. From her foster home: "Shakira is doing really well, she is a sweetheart 1.5-2 years old. House trained, good with other pets and crate trained. She's in training on commands, but really a gentle gal and would love to find her forever home. Better pictures will come soon!
