Ginger is a very sweet, medium sized (30-35 lbs) girl that was abandoned by owners in rural Kentucky. She is @ 2 years old. Ginger came to us somewhat undersocialized and had a little bit of reactivity/defensiveness when first meeting other dogs. This may have been due to probably having puppies outside (down in Kentucky) and maybe having to be a Mama Bear to fend off other dogs, etc. We are only speculating, but one thing Ginger's foster reports is that Ginger is doing great with her two other dogs (Doxy mixes). Ginger was introduced to them gradually and in a structured manner and now they can all mix freely. Ginger was a little jealous at times but her foster re-directs her and she is doing wonderfully! These things are not uncommon for some of these dogs from the rural South who may  have never been able to live inside a home and have normal (constant) human interactions and kindess, until they get to rescue. Ginger's foster home reports that she is doing so well, and making progress all the time.
