** Teddy prefers females (foster or adopter) to males, trust-wise, is not aggressive but will avoid.***

****Teddy can only go to a home with a fenced in yard AND another dog. Teddy loves smaller dogs so that is preferable but if you have a larger dog we could have them meet and see or do a trial.****

Please do not fill out a pre-adoption application for Teddy unless you have a fenced in yard and another dog. Teddy is a very, very shy dog that needs  a fenced in yard for freedom and safety (he is resistant on a leash) and another dog will help him open up, and could possibly learn from a more confident dog. Thank you for your understanding.

From Teddy's foster:
Teddy is just the sweetest , gentle , shy boy there is , and they don t come any cuter. He loves to run around the yard and then is j ust as happy to mellow out on the couch or snuggle with his foster famil y. He enj oy s his walks and never pulls , staying close . He has been un-phased by dogs, horses, and even snakes as he goes hiking in our state parks. While he was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at an early age and treated surgically, you d never guess it based on his abilities to run, jump, and play. He is expected to have a normal lifespan . His special needs status is based on his skittishness. He comes when he s called when outside or even in the house , but h e is cautious in approaching people when they are standing or walking around. When humans are seated, he is happy to get pets and snuggle. He is currently in an all - female household -- foster mom, foster kid (15 years old) and a 30 - pound Boston Terrier X (Loca) . H e has nearl y da ily interaction with men/boys s ensitive to his shyness and has done well. He has played with or ignored multiple dogs of all sizes and both genders. Loca has helped increase his confidence in approaching people and he comes on his own when called more and more every day. He seems to enjoy her company. He is house trained with NO accidents in foster to date. He is not crated and sleeps on a dog bed in his foster kid s room. He is a good eater. He has caused NO damage. He has shown N O aggressive behavior whatsoever . Generally , he s a very happy dog and a great companion in need of a home sympathetic to his shyness . We think he d be happiest with a fenced in yard and a dog buddy
