Max seems to be a shepherd mix and might grow to be about 30-40 lbs, but its impossible to tell.  He's still just a little guy right now at around 12 weeks old.

Max is very social.  He loves dogs, cats, people.  He would love to have a 4-legged companion in the home.

He's the happiest puppy we've ever met always wants to jump in and be included in  the activity! Max is smart and curious and enjoys exploring and testing his environment.   He learned to "sit" in just one session!

In typical puppy fashion, he plays hard and sleeps hard throughout the day.

He is doing well on leash training and is doing great with potty training. He has not had an accident in his bed overnight or in his kennel.  

He does well in his kennel, and as he is still teething, does even better when left with a Kong and/or other safe chew toys or treats.  

 

You would never know that  Max had a rough start in life (He was found at just a few weeks old in a garbage in Kentucky)  He has no fear and is bouncy and happy and has a joy for life that makes us laugh several times a day! Just give him a ice cube and watch him chase it around the house and pounce on it.

 

So many along his road to rescue have felt that he is special.   We think whoever adopts this boy will feel pretty lucky.
