Giselle is a very sweet girl! She is @ 3-4 years old, @ 40 lbs. We think she is possibly Aussie mixed maybe with Border Collie or something else. Giselle is a very cool dog, very submissive, even flinchy at times. Great with all people, kids, and very good with male dogs (especially her size). She did show dominance (pinning down) smaller female dogs at a previous foster home, and we are not sure what was triggering her, if it was only their small size or the fact that they were female? She got along with a larger female, but the little ones triggered something in her. She did not harm them but went after them, so not sure that was dominance/herding or some dislike/aggression but she would have to be managed around small female dogs for now. She is wonderful with a male dog her size. (We can't tell if she would always have an issue with small female dogs or what was triggering her, she may improve with increased socialization/managing) but has shown no issues at her current foster home with another male dog of similar size. She is definitely a herding breed dog and is great off leash. She is excellent in the house, no accidents. She is crate trained (although would probably prefer not to be in a crate). We are evaluating her around cats. She would love an active home where she can be outside a lot maybe with other dogs she is compatible with (males will be no problem), where she can run around alot, play, get a lot of exercise. Of course a home like a hobby farm or acreage or a bit of a job to do would be awesome for her, but we definitely want her to live inside the home- so get to be outside much of the time but go inside with the owner and be included as part of the family. We are strict on this.
