Timber is a friendly female Shepherd mixed breed dog. She is approx 1-2 years old and 43 lbs. Timber is friendly with other dogs, but not good with cats (will chase).
Timber is a playful and loving pup! She loves people very much and loves pets-she is comfortable with head pets, ear scratches, and loves a good belly rub. She tends to jump up on people so we are working on the "down" command. She also playfully bites at you- we are teaching her not to do that. We are also training her on "sit", "lay", "drop", "wait", "stay", and "slow" (she gets very excited on walks and pulls). She is already getting better but will need more training.
Timber has lots of energy and has been enjoying plenty of walks and runs with her foster family. She will need an active pawrent or family and maybe a fenced-in yard to run off-leash.
Timber is doing okay with her foster family's dog, a seven year old female rottweiler mix. Primarily, she wants to play with her all the time! She is displaying some aggression around toys but we are currently working on these things with her but haven't felt comfortable yet leaving the two dogs alone together.
Timber has been sleeping in a crate at night and she is doing very well, and is housetrained!
Overall, Timber is a loving puppy who requires lots of exercise/activity and some additional training. She would do best with a yard and either as the only dog or paired with an older, dominant dog who will tell her when play time goes on too long or gets too aggressive. We've loved having her as a foster and we're excited for her to find her perfect furever home!
