Sadie  is a sweet dog looking for a quiet household to retire to after having puppies. In the time that she's been with us, we've seen  Sadie  open up a lot and find her own personality and be able to relax.  Sadie  is nervous around people she does not know, likely due to some issues before being rescued. She will take at least a few days to warm up to you enough to approach, and then maybe longer still to get completely comfortable with you, but once she is, she will happily cuddle in bed, get her belly rubbed and generally follow you everywhere around the house. Some patience will be key to earning her trust, but the payoff is a goofy 70-pound lap dog that asks for an ice cube whenever you open the freezer. 

 

Sadie  is housetrained, knows most basic commands, and walks well on a leash (when not startled by strange people). If you can't take her on regular walks, a fenced-in yard would be important for her to get some exercise as she is still young. Otherwise she enjoys redirecting her energy on tough chew toys that she can destroy over time.  Sadie  is comfortable being left at home for hours at a time and she has also done well with dog sitters too. She is very playful with our resident dog and would do great in a household with another dog. With children though, we'd only recommend  Sadie  to a household with older children, who could understand when to give her space if she gets overwhelmed.
