This is Ranger, an 8 year old neutered male. Still clawed, but uses his upright jute scratcher or sisal scratcher faithfully. No health problems or litterbox issues. He's a little love bug, if you can call 14 pounds "little"!

Though he may initially hide when visitors arrive, curiosity gets the better of him and he comes out to make friends. He does well getting pets from a 3 year old child. Ranger is a big fan of sitting on the couch and hanging out next to his person!

When we met with Ranger for an interview, here's what he had to say about himself: 

"Hi, my name is Ranger! My mama went to Heaven last year so her niece took me home. But the other cat here fights with me, so I don't feel safe and I'm not very happy. I don't have any bad habits, and I'm very healthy. I get pretty playful after breakfast and in the evening, but am quiet and nap a lot during the day. I like to jump up and catch sparkle balls or little mice that rattle. I also love teaser toys and the laser pointer. I don't mind being groomed and I never, ever miss the litter box! I would sleep with you at night if you let me. My meow sounds like a little lamb, but I'm not too vocal. I've never seen a doggie, so I don't know if we'd be friends. I haven't been around kids too much, but I'm pretty curious about them. My new mama would love to come visit me a couple of times in my new home. She can bring my favorite toys, food, and my kitty hammock. I hope I find a new home soon so I can be happy all the time again."
