Bart is an absolute HAM and so funny! Not sure about his breeding, but he sure is super unique! Great pointy ears and built like a tank, Bart is between 1-3 years, neutered, and looking for his forever home. He has a seemingly limitless supply of energy and LOVES playing with toys and getting tummy rubs. Bart gets along well with other dogs (has not been around cats). This dude has got quite a zest for life!! He came to us with ear infection and skin issues which are being treated and we expect him to keep on improving. He had experienced neglect in his past but his attitude does not reflect that! He simply loves life, people and other playful dogs! Like the other dog in his foster home, they just play and play! Bart would make the perfect playmate for a heavy-duty player or be ok as a solo dog and soak up all the attention. Check out this one-of-a-kind dog! From Bart's Foster Home: He’s become a great snuggler and is so patient when I need to slowly comb his fur and care for his skin.
He’s also making progress with his reactivity! If I’m in the room with him, I can redirect him away from barking when he sees a dog outside. He’s doing better out on leash walks as well! He’s still very excited but as long as there’s distance he can be redirected and calmed.
Bart is mega energetic and getting him to focus enough to learn commands has been a comedic challenge
 but he has learned “sit”! You have to say it a lot of times for him to realize you’re saying it to him but then he’s very proud of himself and is soooooo happy to come in for a hug after because he knows he’s done a good job. Bart loves praise and continues to be a very good boy. He could definitely use some more training but his progress shows he’s up for it.He's being fostered in Minneapolis through Redemption Road Rescue and would love to meet you! Interested in adopting?
