Sweet Phoenix has earned her name. She fell from a car as a small kitten, and then was hit by another car, breaking her leg and fracturing her pelvis. She had burns and abrasions all over her as well, but those were the least of her worries. After weeks and weeks living with an AMAZING vet tech in rural Kentucky for around the clock care resting, rehabbing, and recovering, Phoenix was strong enough for surgery to amputate her back leg - which was broken beyond repair. Throughout everything, Phoenix was consistently sweet, brave, and an absolute fighter! Fast forward to today, and Phoenix has arrived in Minnesota and settled into a foster home with us. She's getting around great as a tripod, can scale the cat tree quicker than her kitty foster siblings, and doesn't know that she's one leg lighter than the others. She's affectionate and has a great purr to her - add that to the fact that she's super soft and silky, and Phoenix is a wonderful cuddle buddy. Though she may be shy at first and hang back from the group of kittens, once you pet her or pick her up she insists on keeping the love going! Though fostered with other kittens and a dog, she doesn't play with them a ton. She's more of a mellow girl who would likely enjoy the companionship of an adult cat, in a quieter home. Phoenix doesn't mind the dog at all - and has no fear of the doggie energy in the home either. We are so happy we could help this girl, and so thankful for Ashley in KY, who stepped in to save this girl and give her such great care. We're honored to have been able to welcome to her to MN, and now just need to find her the PERFECT forever home! Interested in adopting?
