Zoya (FKA Tac) is a sweet inquisitive and smart 18 month old 16 lb female street dog terrier mix from South Dakota. She would love nothing more than to be someone’s best snuggle buddy on a sofa after a nice day of meeting new people and dogs on a hiking trail. Everybody (man, woman, child) and every dog is her best friend in her opinion, and you really can’t convince her otherwise. Medium energy and smart, this girl is crate trained and potty trained. Still working on perfecting leash manners where she is doing great, until… squirrel. She can’t seem to quite grasp that she doesn’t need to chase the squirrels. I have no doubt with consistent positive training, she will learn. That also goes for chasing resident cats – they are so very intriguing and when they run, she will chase. Homes without cats or cats that are very dog savvy are best. Zoya wants to please her humans. She wants to learn the house rules and play with toys and get lots of snuggles and chew treats. If her home has a resident dog, she will happily play with them. She would be equally happy fetching a tossed ball or frisbee grabbing her prize as fast as possible and running back equally fast for another throw. Teaching this girl tricks will be a breeze.
