Sweet little Maká was found alone on the side of the road in rural South Dakota rummaging through trash, looking for a meal. One of our partner rescues swooped in to save him. He was in rough shape on intake - he had cuts and scratches all over him, likely from having been beaten up by another stray dog. This didn’t stop Maká from being a happy, trusting, and loving boy though! Maká (meaning The Earth in Lakota) is approx 4 months old and 17 lbs. We have no idea of his breeding - but we do know he’s a true gem of a puppy. He’s friendly with everyone he meets, and great with the other dogs in his foster home. He’s curious about the cats in his foster home, but respectful of them. For a puppy, he’s pretty mellow and enjoys big naps after big play time. He’s intelligent and inquisitive, and is working on potty training. He naps well in his kennel overnight, and is truly a sweet boy! Interested in adopting?
