Have you felt like you need more ears in your life? If so, this gal has you covered! This 6 month old mild mannered GSD is named Hanwi, which "moon" in Lakota - a nod to her heritage as she comes from a reservation in South Dakota, where she was found wandering with her mama.
 
Hanwi is higher energy, as you'd expect a young GSD to be. She loves to play fetch (brings the ball back every time!), going on walks, running & playing with other dogs. She plays tug with her foster mama and is learning to do that with resident dogs - she will chase them to get the toy! She would do well in a home that can help give her a job or take her through agility, scent work, etc.
 
Hanwi is incredibly smart and wants to please so badly. She kennels without issue, and will go in there to lay down when she's tired. She snuggles with her foster mama in bed at night. She kisses the kitties... and people! Hanwi loves giving kisses and snuggling on the couch. She's been left alone for 8 hours (not the norm!) in her kennel without an accident. In fact, she's 100% house trained and goes to the door when she wants out.
 
She's doing great with the other 3 dogs in her foster home - she respects boundries and knows how to play nicely. She'll eventually likely be okay with kiddos, but at the moment, she's a bit mouthy like the puppy that she is, and is still learning how to move her body around - don't want her to knock a little kiddo over!
 
We're looking for an active forever home for Hanwi, that has a fenced in yard and another dog for her to play with.
