Cheeto is a young dog with a lot of energy looking for a family that can give him unconditional love, stability, consistency and will continue teaching him boundaries and manners.

He's a young dog (approx 1-2 years old) who has been bounced around too much due to being misunderstood by people and other dogs. Because of this, he is learning how to behave in the right way in order to be successful. Think of him like a toddler who needs instructions on living life. He responds well to positive reinforcement, he needs occasional timeouts in his kennel, he needs structured exercise (walks), he needs the ability to be silly in your back yard, he needs obedience training and he needs a family who is going to be patient with him as he navigates a home life.

Due to being bounced around so much, it takes him about 2 weeks to be able to settle into a new home. He doesn't realize that every home is going to discard him like previously so he pushes those boundaries until he realizes he's safe. This also extends to other dogs. When he met my pack, he barked aggressively and was mouthy, which was not welcomed. He plays hard so if he goes to a home with another dog, it should be an equally fun loving dog who can help teach Cheeto how to be the best dog he can be. He also shouldn't be introduced to a bunch of new people, places and outside dogs until he knows he's in a safe place.

He can go to a home with dog-savvy cats but he's very interested in them and will chase if they run. He's never tried to hurt a cat (lives with 3 in foster home) but he will make sure they're paying attention. He also shouldn't go to a home with small children, because he's not aware of how big he is (60lbs-ish!) and is still mouthy - which is never a good fit with the young kiddos. He has a very soft mouth, and would never hurt anyone intentionally, but just like a toddler, everything goes in his mouth!

Cheeto is a diamond ready to be shined and is trying to hard to be perfect for that perfect family out there
